Problems
Weeds such as Bracken, Ragwort, Nettles, Docks, Thistles, Buttercups, Japanese Knotweed and Giant Hog Weed can cause many problems, not only can they look unsightly if left untreated, but many are also poisonous to livestock, horses and pets. They can also cause a great deal of damage to nursery plants and shrubs causing thousands of pounds of damage; weeds can also cause damage to buildings, road surfaces, car parks as well as other surfaces and structures.
Weeds pose a number of problems -
Weeds such as Ragwort are poisonous if ingested and may result in the death of horses, livestock and pets.
Weeds such as Nettles, Docks, Thistles and Buttercups suppress the growth of valuable crops.
Weeds may trap windblown litter producing an unsightly view and may also pose a threat to wildlife.
Weeds which provide dense cover can be ideal habitats for rodents encouraging infestations.

Suddenstrike Ltd offers a service to remove weeds from areas such as car parks, footpaths, paddocks, amenity areas, forestry plantations and railway embankments. This can be done by manually removing the weed including its root system or by using a herbicide spray applied by using either a knapsack, a sprayer mounted onto an quad bike or by using and argocat, one of only a few to be used in this type of work in the country.

Apply slug pellets using a quad mounted applicator to eliminate slugs and stop the damage they can cause. Apply grass seed, again using a quad mounted applicator to either whole or part areas including paddocks, amenity ground, hedge and fence lines.

Insect Grub Spraying
Insects grubs such as Leather Jackets, Chaffer Grubs and Cut Worms which live in the soil and eat the roots of grass attract animals like Badgers, Foxes and Birds which will dig to get the grubs.
