Rodent Problems

Rats and Mice are a major problem throughout the UK. Their presence can instantly destroy a company’s reputation. Rodents, in particular Rats, have the power to transmit numerous diseases and infections such as Salmonellosis, caused by bacteria of the salmonella group, this is one of the most widespread of animal borne diseases. Others include Leptospirosis (Weil's Disease) which is thought to be carried by around 50-70% of rats and can result in the loss of human life. Parasites carried and transmitted by rodents also include mites, fleas, tapeworms and ringworm.

If left untreated, rodents can damage property and buildings which can be expensive and can also pose a threat to public health and safety. Rodents constantly gnaw in order to keep their ever-growing incisor teeth at a manageable size, they frequently gnaw through electric cables and water pipes creating a risk of fires and floods.
